The route of the U12 light rail line was redesigned to meet the new urban development requirements through densification and redevelopment. The extension of the Milchhof and Mittnachtstraße stations aims to increase the capacity of the trains for double traction and provide a connection to the Europaviertel (S21, A1 area).
